The suspense over who will be the next chief minister of Uttar Pradesh seems to be over now.
Reports said Akhilesh Yadav, the young leader of Samajwadi Party will be the next chief minister of the state. Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has reportedly convinced party leaders on Akhilesh becoming the chief minister.
The SP parliamentary board will meet on Saturday 10 to formally announce the CM of Uttar Pradesh.
Reports also suggest that SP leader Azam khan is likely to be made the Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
There has been a growing clamour within the party for young Akhilesh Yadav be given the top job.
Akhilesh strengthened a dissipated party and then slowly led it to a clear victory in the just concluded state election. With 224 seats in the 403-member House, the party is set to stake claim to government formation soon.
If elected, Akhilesh (38) will be the youngest chief minister of the state.
